How Are Non-Woven Bags Made?

Non-woven bags are made by bonding fibers together without weaving or knitting. The process begins with melting polypropylene (PP) granules and extruding them into long fibers. These fibers are laid onto a moving conveyor belt to form a continuous web. The fiber web is then bonded using methods like heat bonding (applying heat and pressure), needle punching (entangling fibers with barbed needles), or spunlacing (using high-pressure water jets). After bonding, the fabric undergoes finishing processes such as calendaring or coating to enhance smoothness and strength. Finally, the finished non-woven fabric is cut and sewn into bags of various shapes and sizes.
