Can Non-Woven Bags Be Machine Washed?

Non-woven reusable bags, commonly made from polypropylene, are generally not recommended for machine washing. The agitation and heat from washing machines can weaken the fabric’s fibers, cause deformation, and reduce the bag’s durability. Instead, hand washing with warm water and mild detergent is the safest method to clean these bags. Gently wipe both the inner and outer surfaces, especially along seams where dirt may accumulate. After cleaning, always air dry the bag completely to prevent mildew and extend its lifespan.
